Over the past month, my life/living arrangements have changed pretty
drastically. I’m in a household of 10 right now! (Soon to be 11!)

I’m excited about this change, and very thankful and blessed at
how well it has all turned out. To make a long story short, My
brother, Dustin,  recently moved here from out of town with his
3 Children, and is now married to the very sweet Megan who also has 3
children and 1 on the way in a couple weeks! (Insert Squeal of delight!)

To make this sudden move and huge change a little easier on the
budget, My daughter and I, along with my brother’s new double
size family are renting a larger home together and sharing the bills
as well as the household responsibilities.

So for those of you who weren’t keeping up with the math, that’s
11 people! Also the combination of our pets to include
3 Cats, 2 dogs, 1 hamster and a snake!

Needless to say, this is a challenge for me, I’m not used to shopping
and couponing for a family of this size, as well as adjusting meals
and snacks to feed everyone. But I am up for the challenge, and
I know that I can make it work at an extremely low cost!

This change had me thinking that I would like to share how we do it!
How we get by on so little, and yet have so much! How we are able
to go out and have fun on a limited budget with 8 Children in tow!
So I will be creating a brand new site to go along with Thefrugalfreeloader
and it will cover a more up close and personal side of my life.

I’m hoping that it will inspire those of you with smaller families that
are struggling to make ends meet, or come up with cheap meal plans
that it can be done, and not lose hope.  The new site will be an encouraging
site and I hope to share our menu plans, shopping trips, our weekly outings,
recipes, craft projects, organization tips and other little tricks that we
discover that work for us along the way! We will also be doing product
reviews for everything from Baby Stuff, Children’s Items, to Pet Products!

But first, We need a name! That’s where you come in! We are looking for
a name of our new site and we want you guys to help come up with it! If
we choose to use the name you  came up with, we will send you a $25
gift card to the store of your choice! Just send us any names that you
can think of to fit what we are looking for in an email to
Maranda (at) thefrugalfreeloader (dot) com You may send as many names
as you can think of in one email or more!

Some of the things that we are looking for in a site name are as follows:

  • Short names no more than 4 words if possible, (but we are willing to
    look at and consider all names sent in)
  • Names that are to the point (This will be a website about a Large
    family on a tight budget, but getting what we need and living life
    to the fullest!)
  • We will have 8 children in the household ages Newborn to 10yrs old!
  • The site will primarily focus on the children, how we keep them fed,
    clothed and entertained on so little.
  • We kind of like the idea of a funny or clever name, as long as it fits in
    with the “frugal”  and saving money aspect.
  • Name can’t be taken by another blog or website
  • We need a good tag line too!
  • If I get a lot of great name suggestions and I just can’t decide
    then I will put a poll on the site and let the readers decide.

I look forward to seeing all of your suggestions and getting started on
this site. It’s going to be a lot of fun sharing it all with you as well!

I will let you all know which name we decide on sometime next
week, possibly earlier!
